Korean Language Competition Opens in Egypt

A Korean language competition was held in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday.

A total of 12 students from four countries, including Egypt and Jordan, put their Korean language skills on display at the competition, which was the fifth such event to be held.

The top award went to a senior at Ain Shams University in Cairo who, during the competition, spoke about his experiences while studying in South Korea.

In Egypt, there are a number of educational facilities where people can learn Korean, including Ain Shams University. Ain Shams established the Middle East’s first Korean language department five years ago.
