The Foreign Ministry in Seoul says two South Koreans have been cleared of charges of involvement in the case of a missing North Korean in Nepal.

The two South Koreans, identified as “Choi” and “Sun,” were released by the Nepalese police on Monday.

They were ordered to leave Nepal within 15 days for having violated a Nepalese immigration law.

The North Korean Embassy in Nepal asked authorities there to investigate the flight of a North Korean man identified by his surname “Yang,” who had been working as a manager at the Nepalese branch of a North Korean restaurant chain.

North Korea claimed that the two South Koreans kidnapped the North Korean.
