North Korean leader Kim Jong-il’s third son and heir apparent, Jong-un, has been named by Time Magazine as one of the top 50 people who mattered the most in 2010.

The designations, made by editors at Time, are bestowed on the person or persons who most affected the news and the lives of people, for good or for ill, and embodied what was important about the year.
