'NK Population Topped 24 Mln in 2008'

North Korea’s population reportedly topped 24 million in 2008.

Quoting data from North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Japan’s Kyodo News says the population of North Korea grew from some 23-point-six million in 2004 to more than 24 million in 2008.

Kyodo says that the North’s population levels were tabulated in a survey conducted by the North and the U.N. Population Fund in December of 2009.
