Seven people in Cambodia, presumed to be North Koreans, reportedly removed anti-North Korean banners from two South Korean restaurants in Siem Reap earlier this month.

According to a KBS report, seven unidentified people in their 20s and 30s removed on December tenth banners from the front of the restaurants denouncing North Korea’s shelling of the South’s Yeonpyeong Island last month.

After threatening the owners of the restaurant, all seven reportedly fled in three vehicles owned by a North Korean restaurant in Siem Reap.

An association of South Koreans in Siem Reap quoted Cambodian police as saying that the seven people were not registered with Cambodia’s roster of foreigners.
