The Chinese Foreign Ministry says the Chinese government hopes that the two Koreas can resolve issues through dialogue and improve their relations.

Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu on Thursday told a regular news briefing that dialogue and negotiation are the only way to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

The spokeswoman said that the denuclearization of the peninsula through the six-party nuclear talks will be an effective way to secure such a goal. She also vowed China's efforts to achieve progress in the nuclear talks and lead the North to implement the September 19th, 2005 Joint Statement.
