North Korea and China are speeding up the construction of a bridge linking North Korea’s city of Sinuiju and China’s city of Dandong.

A logistics facility that will be used for the transportation of construction materials is now being built in Dandong, a Chinese city bordering North Korea.

North Korea and China agreed to build the bridge when Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited the North in October 2009. Ground was broken for the bridge at the end of last year.
