Lee Begins State Visit to Denmark

President Lee Myung-bak arrived in Copenhagen, Denmark, Wednesday evening for his second stop on his trip to Europe.

Lee began his state visit by attending an official welcome ceremony hosted by Queen Margrethe the Second.

President Lee was greeted at the Copenhagen Airport by key members of the royal family, including the Queen. He then reviewed the honor guards under Denmark’s Royal Life Guards as the South Korean National Anthem was playing in the background.

Lee then rode a royal family ceremonial vehicle with Queen Margrethe to the Fredensborg Palace, where he was decorated with Denmark’s highest order of merit from the Queen.
