Clinton: US, China Focused on Preventing NK Provocation

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the U.S. is focused on working with China to prevent further provocation and nuclear development in North Korea.

Clinton made the remark during an interview with China’s Caixin Media on Thursday after being asked if China’s actions met U.S. expectations regarding the North and Iran.

Clinton said further provocation and nuclear advancements in North Korea would be “extremely dangerous” and that’s why Washington and Beijing are working hard on such efforts and are committed to the same goal, and must make progress together.

Clinton expressed that both China and the United States do not want to see the proliferation of nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula or in the Middle East.
