'Russia Has No Plan for Summit with NK for Now'

A key aide to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says there is no plan for a summit between the Russian President and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il at the moment.

Russia’s Itar-Tass News Agency on Tuesday reported that head of the Administration of the President of Russia Sergei Narishkin told a news conference in Tokyo that the summit will not be held for the time being.

The two leaders were set to hold a summit in Russia’s Far Eastern region of Vladivostok on June 30th or July first, but the summit was reportedly canceled at the last minute.

Moscow and Pyongyang, however, have not officially admitted that they were preparing for a bilateral summit.
