NK Refugee Receives US Citizenship

The Voice of America says that the U.S. has granted citizenship for the first time to a North Korean refugee.

The refugee entered the U.S. in May 2006 with five other North Korean defectors.

The VOA said that the new U.S. citizen can bring his family to the U.S. but will have to do so via a third country such as South Korea or China.
