North Korea’s First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan says he is satisfied with the results of high-level talks he held with U.S. officials in New York last week.

Kim made the statement to reporters at an airport before he and his delegation left the U.S. on Tuesday. He said, however, that more bilateral meetings need to be held before multilateral talks can continue.

North Korean Ambassador to the U.N., Sin Son-ho, saw Kim off at the airport and said the North will continue to seek dialogue, stressing the need for reconciliation and the guarantee of safety.
