G8 Leaders Express Concern Over N.Korea

G8 leaders expressed deep concern over North Korea’s recent provocations and declared appropriate action would be taken if needed.

At the summit held in Camp David, G8 leaders including U.S. President Barack Obama said North Korea should give up all of its nuclear power and missile programs in a complete and provable way that would render them unrecoverable.

The leaders also reiterated their willingness to convene a UN Security Council meeting in the case of an additional act of provocation from North Korea, including a ballistic missile launch or nuclear test.
