CNN reports that Facebook users are on average 38 years old and spend roughly six and a half hours a week perusing the social networking Web site.

The U.S. broadcaster says users have an average of 229 Facebook friends, twenty percent of which are fellow high school graduates. It says relatives, coworkers and college alumni also make up a big chunk of a user's friends list.

Of the more than 900 million Facebook users, the largest number of subscribers are from the U.S. at 157 million. Brazil has the second most users followed by India, Indonesia and Mexico.
