Chinese media report that China has the largest number of smokers in the world at more than 300 million.

The media said 52-point-one percent of Chinese men, or 288 million, are smokers, and two-point-four percent of Chinese women, or 12-point-six million, choose to light up.

In China, roughly one million people die of smoking-related diseases and exposure to second-hand smoke kills over 100-thousand people every year.
