Bombings Kill 4 in Baghdad

The Associated Press says a series of bombings in the Iraqi capital Baghdad have killed four people and injured 14 others.

Iraqi authorities say a police car exploded in northern Baghdad killing two people including a police officer and injuring five others.

Later, a suicide bomber drove a vehicle strapped with explosives into a military check point in the city of Abu Ghraib in western Baghdad. Two soldiers were killed and nine were injured.

In Iraq, there are frequent bombings against the police and military in protest of the Shiite-led government.
