Union of S.American Nations Urges Efforts Towards Peace on Korean Peninsula

The Union of South American Nations has urged relevant countries to make efforts towards peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The Foreign Ministry of Peru, which represents the union, issued a statement, expressing concerns over the escalating tensions on the peninsula and calling on all relevant parties to engage in dialogue to secure peace and stability on the region.

The union said every country has international duties to refrain from threats and violence, urging all relevant parties to avoid acts of aggression and demonstrations of military power.

The union is comprised of 12 South American nations, including Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil.
