Korean-American Communities Want Probe on Yoon to Wrap up Quickly

Korean-American communities have expressed hope that a probe on the sex-abuse allegation of now-fired presidential spokesman Yoon Chang-jung is carried out quickly and quietly.

The League of Korean Americans, USA and the Korean American Public Affairs Committee said in a joint statement on Wednesday that they deeply regret the incident in which a high-level government official committed an unethical and disgraceful act. The statement said, in particular, that the communities are gravely concerned the victim was a Korean American.

The statement then urged Yoon to cooperate in the U.S. police’s probe so the case can be wrapped up quickly.
