The U.S. government has dismissed calls made by North Korea at a news conference held at United Nation's headquarters on Friday.
 
U.S. State Department Deputy Spokesman Patrick Ventrell confirmed in a news briefing on Friday that the UN Command will remain in South Korea and the U.S. sanctions on North Korea will continue.
 
The spokesman said he hasn't seen the full context of the North's news conference, but the demands are only repetition of what the regime previously said.
