Japan Says it May Reconsider Currency Swap Deal with S. Korea

Japan says it may not extend its three-billion-dollar currency swap agreement with South Korea if Seoul says the deal is no longer necessary. 

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said on Friday that Tokyo may reconsider an extension if South Korea decides the renewal is not needed.

Suga said Japan is not in desperate need for the swap agreement.
