[Asian Games] S. Korean Men’s Football Team Thrashes Bahrain in Opening Match

South Korea thrashed Bahrain 6-0 in its first men's football match at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia on Wednesday.

Striker Hwang Ui-jo scored a hat trick in the Group E match at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung as Team Korea easily secured the victory.   

Kim Jin-ya, Na Sang-ho and Hwang Hee-chan also netted for Team Korea, who rested top star Son Heung-min. 

South Korea, the defending champions of the Asian Games men's football tournament, will next face Malaysia on Friday.

Although the 18th Asian Games officially start Saturday, the men's football competition began last Friday for scheduling reasons.
