South Korea will set up a video conference room at the Special Office for Inter-Korean Dialogue in Seoul by April for future talks with North Korea.

On Tuesday, the Unification Ministry posted an emergency notice of tender for the project through the Public Procurement Service.

The bids will open on February 2 and construction is planned to be completed within 60 days of the contract signing.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the ministry included the project in this year's budget plan and the notice of tender comes just a day after President Moon Jae-in said he was open to virtual talks with the North in his New Year's address.
