The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 45-point-10 points, or one-point-54 percent, on Wednesday, closing the day at two-thousand-972-point-48.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining 21-point-41 points, or two-point-21 percent, to close at 991-point-33.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened four-point-two won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-190-point-five won.
