The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 24-point-72 points, or one-point-02 percent, on Wednesday, to close the day at two-thousand-449-point-80. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also gained, by ten-point-47 points, or one-point-41 percent, to end the day at 750-point-96. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened zero-point-six won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-231-point-three won.
