The tech-heavy KOSDAQ meanwhile fell, losing four-point-68 points, or zero-point-five percent, to close at 929-point-nine.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened three-point-five won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-279-point-nine won.
