Hello, dear K-Pop Connection team and all listeners around the world.

Best wishes in 2019!

I write you from Ukraine and here New Year is only the beginning of celebrations. It is like saying good byes and thanks to the previous year and waiting for an upcoming year in a good mood. We have a day off on Jan,1, so days before people cook some yummies, decorate houses with Christmas tree, tinsel, lights and presents. On the morning of Jan,1 streets are so lonely and quiet after all parties.

On Jan, 7 we celebrate Christmas. On Christmas Eve the family gathers together and has meal. The next morning you can hear carols from around. Carolers go from home to home wishing people luck and praising God. On Jan,13 there are Malanka celebrations. Carolers (mostly girls) go around wishing luck to houses. On Jan,14 throwing grains and wishing families luck, love, health etc. boys go around. There is a belief that on this day the first to come into the house should be a man. On Jan,17 there is a religious holiday. The last one in this festive season.

Personally, I like this season when you can stay with your loved ones. These days the song that revs me up is Ha Hyun Woo - 설레이는 소년처럼. It is not about winter or NY, but during this festive season you send your best dreams to the Sky, you wait for something new as if you are a child  or a shy boy.

Well, thanks for reading up to this moment. I wish your dreams come true thi year!
