Concert Celebrates Ban Ki-moon's Inauguration

A music concert has been held in Seoul in honor of U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on his inauguration as chief of the world body.

Seven ambassadors to Korea and several Korean lawmakers on Tuesday attended the concert held at KBS Hall to congratulate Ban and celebrate his ascension to the top U.N. post.

The concert featured a congratulatory performance by seven ambassadors representing India, Finland, Serbia, Indonesia, El Salvador, Guatemala and the Ivory Coast, with U.S. Ambassador Alexander Vershbow on drums.

Ban received a hearty applause when he appeared on stage as a renowned Seoul-based children's choir, the Little Angels, sang a song called "Pine Trees."
