President Roh Moo-hyun will meet with the new leadership of the ruling Uri Party Thursday.

Roh invited new Uri leader Chung Sye-kyun, Floor Leader Chang Young-dal and newly elected members of the party’s Supreme Council for a dinner meeting at the presidential office.

Discussions are expected to focus on Roh’s efforts to initiate a constitutional amendment to institute a four-year presidency and the president's preparations to leave the ruling camp, which his aides say may come as early as Thursday.

The ruling camp’s new leadership was elected during a national convention last Wednesday.
