D-20, Candidates Stump in Seoul

The nation's top presidential candidates canvassed the Seoul metropolitan area on Thursday with just 20 days left before the election.

After stumping in Incheon the day before, Chung Dong-young of the United New Democratic Party toured the capital Thursday. He pledged to create jobs with a project to send 300-thousand youths overseas and foster global talent.

The Grand National Party's Lee Myung-bak stressed that he would revive the economy, if nothing else, saying that office workers in their 30s and 40s should form the core of the middle class.

Independent candidate Lee Hoi-chang attended a forum hosted by the Kwanhun Club, a fraternity of senior journalists, urging all those hoping for a transfer of power to stand by him.

The Democratic Labor Party’s Kwon Young-ghil, the Democratic Party’s Rhee In-je and Moon Kook-hyun of the CKP reached out to voters while touring traditional markets and industrial sites.
