NK's Nuke Declaration Won't Be Resolved Easily: U.S. Expert

A U.S. expert in Asian affairs said Saturday that while the issue of North Korea's nuclear declaration will not likely be resolved easily, six-party efforts to end the communist country's nuclear program will not fail.

In an interview with the Voice of America, Victor Cha, former director of East Asian Affairs on the U.S. National Security Council, said that despite significant progress in disabling the North's nuclear facilities, Pyongyang's nuclear declaration is unlikely to come easily.

Cha said that despite the difficulties, the six-party talks on ending North Korea's nuclear program will not collapse.
