Gov't to Administer Overseas Surveys on Korean Food
The Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will conduct surveys on Korean food overseas in an attempt to boost the international popularity of Korean cuisine.
The surveys will be conducted in the U.S., China, Japan and Hong Kong from September 13th to the 26th.
The ministry expects to survey about 16-hundred visitors to Korean restaurants in each country and collect opinions on and recommendations for Korean dishes.
Forty specially developed Korean dishes with saltiness and spiciness levels adjusted for foreign palates will be assessed during the surveys.
The results of the surveys will be released late next month and will be used to make Korean dishes more appealing to foreigners.
