Pro-NK Paper Reports on Rail Tests
A pro-North Korea daily in Japan says the two Koreas have agreed to conduct test runs of the inter-Korean railway on May 17th.
The Choson Sinbo reported on an agreement reached by the 13th inter-Korean economic cooperation promotion committee last week, confirming that the two sides would provide military security guarantees prior to conducting the trial runs.
Meanwhile, North Korean state-run TV covered the reopening of cross-border railways but did not mention the military guarantees to precede the test runs.
