US: N. Korea Shows no Interest in Dialogue
The U.S. State Department says North Korea is showing no interest in dialogue.
Grace Choi, spokesperson for the department’s East Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau, told the Voice of America(VOA) on Monday that Washington is keeping a door open for serious and trustworthy talks aimed at ensuring North Korea implements the September 19th Joint Statement and all UN Security Council resolutions.
However, she said Pyongyang has shown no interest or intention to faithfully engage in negotiations.
Choi was responding to a question about conflicting messages from U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on the possibility of talks with the North.
