Seoul Mulls Comprehensive Approach to NLL Issue
The government is considering what it calls a "comprehensive solution" to North Korea’s demand that the Northern Limit Line (NLL) be redrawn.
In a meeting of security-related ministers, the government floated the possibility of resolving the NLL issue as part of efforts to ease tension along the Demilitarized Zone.
Inter-Korean defense ministers' talks were proposed as a way to handle the sea border issue, rather than using the upcoming inter-Korean summit.
A government official said that no strategies have yet to be finalized on the sea border issue and ministries concerned are continuing related discussions.
