A domestic choir has won multiple awards at the second International Anton-Bruckner Choir Competition and Festival in Linz, Austria.

Most members of the "Voice of the Soul" choir are mentally retarded with either autism or Down syndrome and are unable to read musical scores or lyrics.

But the group was, after six months of practice, able to memorize nine complex German and Latin songs for the competition.

Although the South Korean choir's performance was not perfect in the artistic sense, it drew standing ovations and applause at the event, which ran from June tenth to the 14th.

Voice of the Soul is the nation's representative choir comprising intellectually disabled people.
