Gov't Recommends Sacking 4 Public Corp Heads
The Ministry of Strategy and Finance has recommended the dismissal of four public corporation heads.
The ministry held a meeting of its public organization management committee and reviewed the performance evaluations of 92 public corporations.
The heads of the Korea Consumer Agency, the Korea Workers Accident Medical Corporation, the Korea Film Council and the National Youth Center all received failing grades of 50 points or lower out of a possible 100.
Seventeen others that received grades of 60 points or lower received warnings and will be considered for dismissal if they fail to improve before the next review.
In a separate evaluation of 100 public organizations, the Korea Film Council received the lowest grade, an ‘E,’ while the Korea Coal Corporation, the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation, the Korea National Park Service and 12 others received a ‘D.’
