SNU Publishes Largest Korean Thesaurus
Seoul National University has published the largest-ever Korean language thesaurus.
SNU’s Korean Language Education Research Institute says the text includes nearly two-point-three million Korean words and synonyms.
The 62-hundred-page thesaurus is divided into seven books, with each word ranked from one to seven according to their level of difficulty to better accommodate different levels of users.
The institute says it published the thesaurus to help people expand their vocabulary.
