'N. Korea Hasn't Made Much Progress in Rehabilitation of Flood-hit Homes'

South Korea’s Unification Ministry says North Korea appears to have not made much progress in the rehabilitation of flood-damaged homes in North Hamgyong Province, given the scale of damage.
Ministry spokesman Jeong Joon-hee said on Monday that some 37-thousand-700 households were hit by the flood in early September, including some 15-thousand houses which were totally destroyed, citing data jointly announced by the North and the United Nations.
The North’s official Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) reported earlier in the day that the homes of eleven-thousand-900 families in the northern part of Korea, which suffered a severe disaster, were rebuilt in a matter of two months.
The report added that the affected families moved into newly built houses over the weekend.
