Gov't Devises Watch List to Keep N. Korea's SLBM Ambitions in Check

South Korea has compiled a list of 60 submarine component materials that may not be exported to North Korea.
The watch list was announced on Thursday, and is aimed at suppressing North Korea's capability to launch ballistic missiles from submarines.
It includes high-tensile steel plates, underwater telephones, and other components that could help North Korea develop submarines, even though they are not subject to the Multilateral Export Control Regime.
