KCTV: ICBM Launch Anytime, Anywhere

North Korea has intensified its threat to launch an intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM), saying it can be done anytime and anywhere of its top leadership's choosing.
A spokesman for the North’s Foreign Ministry made the warning in an interview with the state-run Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) released on Sunday, adding that Pyongyang's enemies should take on a new mindset toward the North.
While claiming that the ICBM development comes in response to the U.S.' escalating threat of a nuclear war, the spokesman further slammed Washington for disparaging the North’s just preparations for a rocket launch as a provocation and threatening it with talks of sanctions.
The spokesman also touted the North's advancement of technologies at a pace that defies common sense, adding the regime has developed a hydrogen bomb and now owns nuclear warheads small enough to fit onto ballistic missiles.
The latest remarks come shortly after North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said in his New Year's speech that the regime is in the final stage of preparation to test-launch an ICBM. Pyongyang has long been suspected of trying to develop missiles capable of reaching the U.S. mainland.
