South Korea has warned that Pyongyang will face sanctions and pressure from Seoul and the international community if it test-launches an intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM).
 
In a regular briefing Monday, Unification Ministry Spokesman Jeong Joon-hee addressed recent reports about the North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman's discussion of an ICBM test.

Asked about why the North is intensifying its ICBM rhetoric, Jeong said Pyongyang appears to be trying to induce a change in the U.S.' attitude with threats of provocations.
 
Just a week after Kim Jong-un discussed his country's efforts to gain the capability to hit the U.S. mainland, the regime's Foreign Ministry said Sunday that a test launch will come at a time and place chosen by its leadership.
