S. Korea: N. Korea likely to Launch Musudan First

South Korean military officials say North Korea will probably test-fire a Musudan intermediate-range ballistic missile(IRBM) before it launches an intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM).
They say there are no signs of an imminent launch of an ICBM by the North, but that South Korea is monitoring the North’s movements very closely.
South Korean and U.S. intelligence have picked up indications North Korea has produced two intercontinental missiles, and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said in his New Year’s address the regime was in the final stage of preparations of a test launch.
The South Korean military views the threat of an ICBM launch as an attempt to attract attention from the Trump administration, and believes the North will continue to refine its Musudan mid-range missile capability before test-firing an ICBM.
