Top Office Convenes NSC after N. Korea's Missile Launch

The presidential office convened a session of the National Security Council (NSC) at 9:30 am. Sunday, hours after North Korea’s missile launch.
During the NSC meeting presided over by Kim Kwan-jin, chief of the National Security Office at the Presidential Office, the government decided to strongly deal with the North’s provocation in cooperation with the international community.
During the 50-minute meeting, the country’s top security and defense chiefs agreed that the North’s missile launch is a clear violation of United Nations resolutions that ban North Korea from any use of ballistic missile technology.
During a daily meeting on foot-and-mouth disease and avian influenza on Sunday, Acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn said that the government is trying its best to carry out a corresponding response to punish North Korea for its latest missile test in cooperation with the international community.
