S. Korean, US Security Advisers Hold Phone Talks

National Security Adviser Kim Kwan-jin and his United States counterpart Michael Flynn agreed to seek every option available to curb North Korea’s provocation during their talks over the phone on Sunday after the North’s latest missile launch.

The presidential office said on Sunday in a news release that during their telephone conversation, the two sides strongly condemned the North’s missile launch and agreed to pursue all possible steps to curb the North’s provocation while maintaining close cooperation between Seoul and Washington.

The call was held at 11:35 a.m. Sunday at the request of U.S. National Security Adviser Flynn.

The two security advisers held their first talk over the phone on January 22, a day after the Donald Trump administration was launched.
