US Navy Sends X-Band Radar Warship to Korean Peninsula

It has been confirmed the U.S. Naval Ship Howard O. Lorenzen has been making a port call at Busan port on the southern coast since this month.
The South Korean military on Wednesday revealed the presence of the 12-thousand-642 ton ship, mounted with both the state-of-the-art X-band and S-band radars for tracking ballistic missiles.
It was already in the country before North Korea fired a ballistic missile this past Sunday and is the first time this cutting edge ship has been in Korea.
The hull measures 163 meters long and 27 meters wide. It can carry up to 80 crew and travel at 37 kilometers an hour.
