North Korean embassy officials in Malaysia have reportedly observed the autopsy of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s half brother, Kim Jong-nam, who was killed at a Malaysian airport.

Three vehicles registered to the North Korean Embassy in Malaysia arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital Wednesday morning, where the autopsy was performed.

North Korean Ambassador Kang Chol later arrived at the hospital and watched the autopsy along with other embassy officials.

The North Korean embassy is believed to have requested Malaysian authorities to swiftly hand over the body.

The embassy tried to claim the body after Kim was killed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Monday, but Malaysian police rejected the move in order to conduct an autopsy to find out the exact cause of death.
