Malaysian national news agency reports that another female suspect has been arrested in connection with the assassination of Kim Jong-nam, the half brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. 

State news agency Bernama reported  that the nation's police has detained a second woman on Thursday following an earlier arrest of a suspect holding Vietnam passport the previous day.

Kim Jong-nam was killed at an international airport in Malaysia on Monday after two female suspects sprayed unidentified substance on his face and covered his mouth with cloth from behind.

The 45-year old, once touted as North Korea's next leader, was critical of the third-generation power succession in North Korea although he recently abstained from commenting on the North Korean regime. He had been living outside the country since his younger brother rose to power in 2012.
