The Guardian: 'Kim Jong-nam was Thinking of Moving to Switzerland'

The British Guardian newspaper cited a former school friend of Kim Jong-nam, the murdered half brother of North Korea's leader, as saying that Kim was thinking of moving to Switzerland.
The school friend who asked to remain anonymous told the Guardian he had seen Kim Jong-nam last year and that Kim was in Geneva a few months ago.
The source said Kim felt he had a “sword of Damocles” hanging over him and lived in fear of being targeted by the regime. He was considering relocating to Europe, and had mentioned both Switzerland and Paris as possibilities.
This childhood friend, who studied with Kim at a Swiss-based international school in the 1980s, said he had kept in contact with him since they graduated. He said other peers were discussing setting up a campaign to take care of his wife, daughter and son, who live in Macao, amid growing fears for their safety.
The Guardian also introduced an unnamed source quoted by the South China Morning Post who had known Kim for ten years.
The source said that Kim knew his life was at risk and was aware his brother, referring to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was after him.
