The Unification Ministry has described claims that Malaysia and South Korea fabricated the assassination of the North Korean leader’s half brother as absurd.
 
A ministry official said that the claims made by North Korea’s Ambassador to Malaysia Kang Chol in a news conference on Monday are nonsense not even worth commenting on.
 
During the news conference, Kang claimed that the only party that benefits from the assassination of Kim Jong-nam is South Korea which he described as suffering from its worst ever political confusion.
 
He also claimed that the latest murder case appears to be an attempt by the U.S. to push forward the deployment of the THAAD missile defense system on the Korean Peninsula in collusion with South Korea.
