N. Korea's Ex-Envoy to UN Visits Malaysia Over Kim Jong-nam's Death

A high-level North Korean delegation visited Malaysia Tuesday amid diplomatic tensions over the murder of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s half brother Kim Jong-nam.

Former North Korean deputy ambassador to the United Nations Ri Tong-il says he came to the country to discuss issues related to Kim’s death with Malaysian authorities, and to request the return of Kim's body.

He's also requesting Malaysia release a North Korean arrested in connection with the case.

He refused to comment on the Malaysian government’s move to reexamine its diplomatic ties with North Korea, but said he was interested in strengthening friendly relations between the two nations.
